Here's a quick look at our itinerary...

SUNDAY JULY 15 - AMSTERDAM

If our plane is on time and if we're daring enough to push the time limit, we'll use our 4 hour layover to explore Amsterdam in the early morning hours.  Here's some ideas...

Spending the day with Denis, a resident expert and brother of a friend.  Here's some things he has in mind for us...Apartheid museum, Cradle of Human Mankind to see the origins of man, gold mine shaft, visit one or two of his "centres for differently abled people" in Soweto or Alexandria, listen to some Jazz in an up town area.  All sound amazing. Can't possibly do all.

Monday: Travel and evening in Cape Town in the shadow of Table Mountain.
Tuesday: Cape Point and Peninsular Tour: Meeting of Atlantic and Indian Oceans, penguin colony,
Wednesday: Winelands Tour
Other: Robben Island

    Open and closing times
    The Maropeng Visitor Centre is open to the public from 09h00 to 17h00 every day. The last boat ride departs at 16h00.

    Admission fees - Adults: R125
    Combination ticket (Maropeng and Sterkfontein Caves) - Adults: R200
